I’ve always hated reptiles…that is, until yesterday, when I met the cutest gecko named Pickle. He’s very social and kind and loves to climb, jump, and crawl all over you. After playing with him for the last day, I’m convinced I want my own Pickle and wanted to share him with everyone. Enjoy!

My grandma has always had the ideal cottage in the woods, and ever since I was a kid, I’ve always looked forward to visiting her. Now, as I grow older, I cherish it even more and still find myself wanting to stay the night, living the motto “what happens at Grandma’s, stays at Grandma’s.” There’s something magical about her house — something that has led me to have many pleasant dreams, and write many a short story.
Her house has been a safe haven, a resort, a home to me over the years, and I keep it close to my heart. So close, in fact, that I don’t really bring many of my friends around. I like to keep it for myself, for the most part. I wanted to share a bit of it with you now, though, because it is just too pretty in the springtime to not share.

Graduation season is here and, living on a college campus, it shows. Everywhere I look, I see caps and gowns, worn by smiling graduates. This Sunday — Mother’s Day — Chapel Hill is going to honor another class of students, the Class of 2017. I was honored to take Tim’s pictures to commemorate this event.

My good friend Taylor (she goes by Alexis, but I still call her Taylor) asked me to take a few shots of her after she got her most recent tattoo. She is covered in such beautiful art and I was incredibly happy to be asked to capture that for her. Most of these photos are untouched; her beauty is 100% natural. Tattoos are beautiful, and women with tattoos are especially beautiful.

I’ve been trying to upload these photos for over a month now, but since coming back to school in early January, my life has been so — well — hectic. I’ve been incredibly busy and this morning (erm…afternoon) I decided to take the time to sit down and look through the photos I took towards the end of my holiday home. These photos are featuring three of my favorite things: Panacea Coffee House, my favorite people, and cats. You can view all of them (and more) on my Flickr.

On Saturday, I traveled over 300 miles to take over 300 photos of this beautiful family — and my favorite photo is still of a dog wearing reindeer antlers.
I had so much fun taking pictures of the Griffin family. Here are some of my favorites.
